The Marquette University men's and women's track and field teams sit in first and second place, respectively, after day one of the 2015 BIG EAST Indoor Championships being held at the historic Armory. Sophomore Joel Swanberg with the highlight of the night as he set a school record and became the new BIG EAST champion in the pole vault with a height of 16 feet (4.88 meters).
